The Evergreens at Thompson's Way
The Evergreens at Thompson's Way is a twenty-four unit Senior Citizen Housing Complex built and owned by the Town of Burlington. The Complex, positioned in a quiet well-established rural neighborhood, is within driving distance to major shopping areas and Town and medical services.
There are currently five buildings in the complex containing sixteen one-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom apartments. All apartments include separate kitchens, combined living and dining room, and one bathroom. The apartments are designed for Senior Citizens and equipped for full wheelchair accessibility and an emergency call system.
Additionally, an attractive Community Room accommodates laundry facilities, area for Resident activities and staff assistance.
Tenants may access many municipal services and area service agencies. Examples of services include: Dial-A-Ride Transportation to shopping centers and physician appointments, access to health screening and additional services provided by the Bristol-Burlington Health District, a Municipal Agent, a Public Library, a Senior Center and social programs provided by the Town of Burlington.
Applicants must be income eligible.
Applicant must complete and return a Written Application. Before acceptance as a resident, all applicants must appear for personal interview, at a mutually convenient time.
Fair Housing Act
The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental or financing of housing on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin. Connecticut Law also prohibits discrimination in the following categories: sexual orientation; use of guide dog; age.
