Johnnycake Mountain Park Advisory Commission's Mission Statement:

 
To create a feasible and visionary short and long term master plan for the purchased property that provides the multi-generational community of Burlington with opportunities for active and passive recreation.
 
Our recommendations will be based upon consideration and input from our entire community, will support documented community needs, will strive to retain the unique, farm-like character and natural landscape of the property and will be aware of the potential impact to the surrounding neighborhoods.
 
We endorse the following values:

  • Respect for one another
  • Commitment to a positive outcome

The Board of Selectmen created this Commission with the following motion:

The Johnnycake Mountain Park Advisory Commission is to recommend a Master Plan which should incorporate the usages of new and/or existing buildings, access to the site, and placement of a multi-use field or fields per the referendum. This recommended Master Plan should be submitted to the Selectmen no later than May 1, 2021 with a schedule to present to the Town within 30 days. There shall be a minimum of 2 meetings a month.
