Burlington Mourns

The Burlington community is shattered as we are informed of the fatal shootings of Sgt Dustin Demonte and officer Alex Hamzy as they bravely served their Bristol community. We pray for their families as they grieve, and we pray for a speedy recovery for officer Alec Iurato who was shot and survived. Bristol and Burlington communities are deeply intertwined, we share your sadness. Burlington is immeasurably grateful for the service and the sacrifices of all Police officers and first responders today and everyday. This is a painful reminder of the price that is too often paid for our security.
