Absentee Voting

Any qualified registered voter, if unable to vote in person, may vote by absentee ballot for one of the following reasons:

  • Active service in th Armed Forces of the United States
  • Absences from town during all election hours
  • Illness 
  • Religious tenets, which forbid secular activity on day of election, primary or referendum
  • Physical Disability
  • Duties as a primary, election or referendum official at a polling place

Applications are available at the Town Clerk's office as well as on the Connecticut Secretary of State's website, where you can also obtain more facts about voting and absentee ballots.
