The Office of the Town Clerk serves the community in numerous ways. Primarily the Office maintains land records relating to property within the Town of Burlington. Currently these records are not available via the internet.
Agendas and minutes from the Boards & Commissions in town are filed in this office. All of which are available for public inspection.
With proper identification and required fee, Vital Records, which include birth, death, marriage and civil union certificates may be obtained for those individuals who were or currently are residents of town. In addition to land and vital records, the Town Clerk's Office maintains subdivision and easement maps.
You may register to vote and/or apply for an absentee ballot for elections and referendums through this office.
We issue dog licenses and sport licenses as well as file trade name certificates, name change applications affecting title to property, veteran discharge papers (DD214), liquor permits, and notary public certification cards.
